Burning Horse

Bringing the festy scene to Southland

What to know before you go...

The festival...

  • Gates will open at 12pm (noon) on Friday.
  • Gates will be closed 11pm Friday – 8am Saturday, and 10pm Saturday – 8am Sunday, and there will be no entry/exit during these times (we have made arrangements with officials/emergency services for their entry/exit during this time).
  • The address is O’Shea Road, Waimea. After turning off of Ardlussa Road you will stay straight on O’Shea Road until you reach the festival entry gate. Please do not stray from O’Shea Rd onto private/farming property at any point.
  • This is a licensed event with a full bar so we are unable to allow BYO alcohol sorry. This is a requirement of our a liquor license.
  • Food options will be available, but feel free to bring your own as well.
  • Free camping on site – get involved!
  • Children are more than welcome under adult supervision. Under 12s are free! 12-17 year olds just $50 at the gate. If camping with kids we recommend choosing a camping spot on the far side of the field from the festival grounds (the music is loud and goes quite late).
