Burning Horse

Bringing the festy scene to Southland

Camping – Te Puni

There are only so many opportunities during the sunny season to dust off your camping gear and sleep under the stars.  Burning Horse provides a fantastic opportunity to do just that.  Whether you’re a first-time festival attendee or a full-time vagabond festy nut, the obvious principal remains the same – the more effort you put into your surroundings the better your experience is likely to be.  Bring a 30-second pop-up tent or the materials to build a pallet palace, it’s your choice, just respect the land and your neighbors and you’re sweet.  You have an open license to get creative, commune with nature and live in the elements

  • If you attend, you will be blessed with the opportunity to spend the weekend on the banks or the Mataura River.  If you want to take part in a legendary float party, it would pay to bring along a flotation device.
  • We’re offering a novel setting to camp amongst.  We can guarantee that you won’t be kept awake all night by traffic noise, but the birdsong does make one hell of an alarm clock – that, and the monstrous base from the rave stage.
  • Just to emphasize: Nothing illegal and no fires.
  • For some information on our sustainable ideals check out Neats.

Camping options are super relaxed.  You can sleep in a tent, camper, horse float or under the stars.  So long as you’re happy, we’re happy.

What’s better? The camping is FREE!!
